Night Painting Fast and Fun
I normally don’t create a lot of night painting pieces. This was a last-minute field study, at the end of the day. It was almost dark and I had to paint fast to capture the light. Although there was a bit of a hustle that needed to take place, I still really enjoyed creating this painting. I just might start painting at night more often! In fact, I think I should set a schedule to to so every few days. The problem with this is that the spontaneity is one of things that I feel creates a wonderful piece! It’s a 5 x 7 oil on panel titled “almost dark”.
