I’m Having a great time in Lafayette, Louisiana. I got a chance to visit some beautiful Louisiana swamps and other local spots. I’ve captured some really great new material to paint. It’s been an incredibly successful trip so far. I plan on creating some new pieces this month with these images. It’s not all that common for me to get out to Louisiana. I try as much as possible every so often to do so but it’s not as much as I’d like.
The best part of my trip, I had a chance to “Smokin Joe” and get a few pounds of monster shrimp right off the boat! These jumbo shrimp were some of the biggest I’ve ever seen. I took some incredible photos by the boat and I think it’s going to make a great scene for a painting. As soon as I have these created I’ll be sure share them with you all! I’m definitely planning on creating a new Louisiana swamp painting or two when I return.
