I speak with my nephew every morning. We talk about a lot of things.
Most recently, I spoke with him and he mentioned that he’d already worked out for nearly two hours prior to our call.
I asked him why and he said that it was just how he likes to start the day. If I recall, he said it was his way of chasing a pot of gold. He does it before anything else.
I thought to myself, I sometimes like to get up in the morning and capture that morning gold coming up in the far.
Today I decided to do just that, which is why this is called “Morning Gold.”

Also, I’ve got another piece on sale that’s a larger and looser piece. It’s a middle road abstract-ish landscape that I painted a while back. I attacked the canvas quickly to give it that look and feel.
