Description
One of my favorite things to do when I’m not painting is to drive down the old country Mississippi roads with some blues acoustics coming through the speakers. I had to spend some time to capture the red clay roads which are typically seen throughout the South.
However, they seem to be becoming more and more obsolete these days. So, I just had to pull over and capture this before it was too late. This is one of the red clay roads I drive down frequently. I love the beautiful terra rosa Earth tones. This field study is an acrylic done on 140-pound watercolor paper. The colorful foliage in the front is like “eye candy”, hope you enjoy!
