Description
We finally got a break in this incredibly hot weather here in Mississippi. The temperature dropped down to a balmy 85 and 86 degrees as opposed to the oppressive 98 to 103 degrees of last week.
I took the opportunity to go out into the fields and paint on location. This is my latest piece done with lots of broken color and thick rich paint . It was a late afternoon piece when the sun was low and was somewhat of a peach glow on the land. This seemed to add an overall envelope of harmony and light to the painting.
This is a 16″ x 20″ oil on panel titled “Peach Meadow.” This piece comes in a beautiful gold leaf frame.
