We all say it to ourselves or one another…I’m getting old! Lol. It’s one of those mornings and I figured this was a good daily piece for hump day. I usually paint how I feel. Well, today I feel old! Thank goodness for morning coffee. This is one of the many “old man” studies I have painted for 63 years. It’s 11 x 14 and done with lots of impasto. It is oil on panel and the piece is signed.
Update: I’ve recently been told that this looks very similar to the Walking Dead actor Hershel Greene. I did not know this. In fact, I created this from a vision I had in my head of an old patient wise man. I told the person that made the Walking Dead comment that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.
