Description
This is a painting reminiscent of the painting I did with my dad over 40 years ago. I recall a trip to Monhegan Island, Maine, and finding some of the most beautiful seascape subjects I have ever laid eyes on to this day Monhegan island is one of the most beautiful East Coast vistas I ever recall, and has embraced the artists eyes for many years. This was an early morning sunrise coming up behind the Bluffs. It’s as though ” central casting ” said release the gull, As it gleamed silver against the dark rocky cliffs in the background. These paintings are close to my heart because of the historical significance in recollection of my youth as a painter just starting out. I hope you enjoy.
