TGIF, I wanted to share something with you. If you’re looking to get into creating art or taking art classes, then you’re going to want to read this…
Taking off the month of July has allowed me to recharge my batteries and come up with fresh ideas for the fall class. Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 8:30pm class and Wednesday morning from 9:30am to 11:30am.
This should be an exciting new class with everything from camp fire talks for the evening class as well as really interesting character models.
I have been teaching for over 50 years and will hold nothing back, I’m not one of those teachers that milk’s his students and stretches things out. We move fast and furiously with progress, not perfection being the goal. I can’t wait to share some new techniques. I welcome the opportunity to learn from my students as well as teach what I know.
We will be covering everything from painting on location outdoors, to creating abstracts. As all my students know these will be fun classes. There is no high-pressure to “get things right.” I strive to take students in the direction they want to go. I choose this approach rather than painting any one particular style or method.
Any students that sign up for my new classes will receive a bonus class session. In this session, I’ll be teaching students how to restore old yard sale frames. There will be a bonus lesson on gilding, gold leafing, and creating beautiful frames from scratch.
If you want to get signed up for the classes, simply email me at greg@gregcartmell.com to get on the list. Those of you interested in purchasing the pieces in this post, feel free to email me as well. They are all available for purchase.
